Concept
The inspiriation for my film came when I was sitting at home in the summer channel flicking through daytime television. All I could find to entertain me was these horrible, trashy Amercan shows about the rise and fall of celebrities such as Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. It seems we live in a world obsessed with celebrity culture, some shows even reviewed the pets of celebrities. The shows regularly feature on E! Channel or MTV and run at a frantic pace, refusing to stay on the same shot for more than one second and attempt to review these celebrities lives in a very short time.
The concept of my film is to parody celebrity based shows like these and base it on the life of God. The show will be tacky, trashy and cheesy in its review of the career of God. From the early days of his career being worshipped by the world and the media as the creator of the cosmos, to present day where he has lost his followeres and has been forced out by new celebrities and doomed to the reality tv scene.

Why God?
Growing up at school that it seemed that no one was bothered at all about God. He was just the butt of jokes, and it never crossed anyones mind to even ask the question is there a God. Being brought up at home that went to church I thought why am I the only kid here, and it seemed that less and less people were going.

God was once so popular and famous, but as time went on, people wanted something new, and he was no longer worshipped by so many like he once was (this is sort of like what happened to The Beatles). It looks like a very long 15 minutes of fame is nearly up for the Big Guy.
I wanted to use this film to review God as a celebrity as you can relate God's career to the celebrities these shows focus on. Gods career started with a bang, and his popularity grew and grew worldwide; Britney Spears popularity grew and grew worldwide after the release of Hit Me Baby One More Time. Gods career then took a turn for the worse in the 20th century when scientists came up with new theories for how the world began; Britney Spears career then took a turn for the worse when she lost all credibility and shaved her head. God's popularity today is not what it used to be; Britney Spears popularity today is not what it used to be. Gods career is one you can relate to the notion of 'the rise and fall of the celebrity'.
