Coloured and cleaned up in PhotoshopOriginal DrawingThese two images are to be used as stills in the film when the narrator discusses how God caught the attention of the media at university. I wanted them to be black and white to immidiately announce to the audience that this happened in the past, and as the shots have so much information to deliver, they needed to be thought through and detailed. The main thing that the audience needed to grasp was that this is a young God at university studying hard to create the cosmos. These images will be zoomed into slowly and be on screen for approximately 3-4 seconds.
Inspiration for the images
These photographs were selected as inspiration for my final images. Having a blackboard in the shots displaying formulas to create the world was an idea that came from the photographs, so it is clearer for the audience to see what God is doing. The research also inspired the colours, clothing, experiments, equipment in the images. The young God at university was origionally going to look much more youthful, however I thought this may confuse the audience as these images come so early in the film, right fter we've been introduced to God. Plus I think its funny to have God looking pretty much the same, just with youthful additions such as acne, a baseball cap, thicker wavier hair and a small goatie beard. On after effects I may much around with the levels on my images to get them looking older and also add some noise and grain.
